The Record Store Day is special because it is a celebration of independent record stores across the globe. The event is celebrated internationally, but what better place is there to celebrate the independence of music stores than in the Music City? This celebration has been scheduled for the 21st of April and Nashville has no shortage of participants, including major players such as ‘Grimey’s and The Groove’. In the spirit of this celebration, many stores offer discounted prices on vinyl and host free concerts. If you’re a music lover, and we believe we all are, this is a must-attend event!

Earth Day Festival

Earth Day in Nashville is a free, family-friendly festival, scheduled for the 21st of April at Centennial Park from 11 am to 6 pm - this festival will be filled with educational booths, environmentally friendly vendors, workshops and speakers, and so much more. You will also get to experience live entertainment, enjoy a beer in the garden, and get to explore a green market. This festival is completely free of charge and open to the public.

Nashville Cherry Blossom Festival

The Cherry Blossom Festival will go down on the 14th of April. This event is inspired by the Music City’s initiative to plant over a thousand cherry trees over a ten year period. Every year since 2009, the city comes together in partnership with Japan to plant trees and to strengthen the bond between the United States and Japan. This event will kick off at the Cherry Blossom Walk and there will be a festival afterward at the Public Square Park which will include demonstrations and exhibits of Japanese culture as well as live entertainment.
