Summer Music Events in the Music City 2018

 

Music in Nashville is not just a form of entertainment, it’s a way of life. Nashville is the Music City after all. Here music plays every day, seven days a week, three hundred and sixty-five days a year. Unfortunately, that means we cannot list all music events scheduled for this year in Nashville, they’re too many. However, we have listed some of our favorite events scheduled for this summer in the Music City.

Bristol Rhythm and Roots Reunion

Head over to the Bristol West End on the 21st of September and take part in this award-winning music festival. The Bristol Rhythm and Roots Reunion is the ultimate celebration of Appalachian music and will feature a wide array of talented traditional musicians. You can expect to see artists such as Mike Farris and The Roseland Rhythm Revue, Moon Taxi, Delbert McClinton, The Steeldrivers, Tauk, Dr. Dog, Steve Earle and The Dukes, Balsam Range, The Black Lilies, and many more.

 

Americana Music Festival

The Americana Music Festivals is scheduled to go down between the 11th of September to the 16th of September in various locations around Nashville. Plan a date and witness live performances from your favorite artists including The Vespers, Jewel, Glen Hansard, Patty Griffin, Parker Millsap, and Buddy Miller, only to mention a few. This year the event is estimated to feature more than 160 showcases.

 

Pilgrimage Music and Cultural Festival

This event will go down only 18 miles from the Tennessee Capital; head over to Franklin between the 22nd and the 23rd of September for this musical experience. There will be numerous food and drink vendors at the event in case you want to indulge in some authentic Tennessee delicacies and beverages. Merchants will also be available to attendees, selling a variety of unique collectibles that you can purchase as souvenirs. All your favorite artists’ music will be played at the event, but a live performance line-up is yet to be announced, so follow up keenly if you reside in the area.

 

Bluebird on the Mountain

Bluebird on the Mountain is a concert series organized by the Bluebird Café; this year the concert will take place on the 21st of July, the 25th of August, the 22nd of September, and finally, the 6th of September. The concerts will be held atop Nashville’s tallest hilltops; enjoy music from your favorite stars, under the stars.
